Bring FIFI to life!

Money.  Sometimes it sounds like a dirty word.   Evidence of its corruptive influence abounds. Yet anyone who’s ever tried to start a business or pursue a creative endeavor knows you can’t get very far without it.

In today’s recession-era economy it seems harder and harder to come by.  Despite the albeit sluggish economic recovery, credit markets remain tight, investors skiddish.  Those seeking the necessary cash to fund their aspirations are turning to the latest  internet-based tools pioneered by the world’s most innovative minds.
You’ve no doubt heard the term “crowdfunding” with increasing frequency.  It’s becoming a popular way to raise funds for a multitude of endeavors including everything from non-profit start-ups to blogging and journalism to creative media such as music and film production and tours.  It allows everyday people to contribute to a wide array of economic generators; it has awakened average citizens to the realization that when we band together and pool our resources we can be a force for positive change.  And by harnessing the power of the internet and social media, we can do it without ever leaving the comfort of home.
I’ve worked in various aspects of film and television for over a decade now and in that time have had the privilege of meeting and working with incredibly talented individuals.  As I slowly join the bandwagon of those harnessing the potential of modern technology, I have been able to reconnect with many of them and am beginning to see a powerful network of bright, creative minds unfold.
One of those is my friend and former colleague, Kristi Frazier.  I’ve always marveled at Kristi’s strength and fortitude.  Having myself emerged from a near Beaver-Cleaver childhood, Kristi’s life has been defined by a distinct lack of conventionality in comparison, with no shortage of struggle and challenge.  Yet it’s precisely those challenges that have molded her into such a resourceful, resilient and unabashedly self-deprecating woman.  Rather than letting them bring her down, she has allowed her life experiences to feed her creativity, humor and fun-loving spirit.
I’m confident she brings all that and more to the table in her newest project, a trilogy of screenplays called THE FIFI CHRONICLES.  Together with her creative partner and long-time friend, Beth Brown, she brings an unconventional and unlikely heroine to life in a hilarious and raucous way.
Help bring FIFI to the big screen!  Visit the FIFI CHRONICLE’s Kickstarter page and find out what you can do to help talented new grid creatives Kristi and Beth realize their dream!
